Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going,

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju and Realfoodieclub

:)

Hey! The way I run is funny, the rules I've got even more so. I ran the entire C25K twice before claiming the badge because I didn't like the way I completed the first round (2 injuries).

Then I moved over to the Bridge and began to prepare for the big 10. No problem on that front but I tasked myself with running 10K five times before claiming the honours and that is scheduled for Thursday. Previous 4 were run at easy pace, outdoors, with some top music in my cans ;)

I am hoping that I don't set my sights to even longer distances as with my rules that would take an eternity. Then again, we are in this for fun, there is no rush :)

I'm getting back on form. Started C25K back in April and graduated on the 22nd of June. Was running Parkrun and joined an Athletics club. In August I was at my fittest and managed a 5K races in just under 30 mins at a time of 29:56. My best Parkrun time at my local Parkrun was 31:04.

Then I went on Holidays, was still running 3 times a week, but my effort level was a little more relaxed. I then developed a health issue which hindered my running a little. I went to see doctors, had a check up and a colonoscopy and now thankfully I am back to normal.

Last week I started increasing my running again by doing a Parkrun, the following day I ran a 5K trail race with my 8 year old Son, I also ran 6.2K last Tuesday and then 5k on Thursday evening. On Saturday I ran a Parkrun in a time of 31:44. Looking forward to pushing out my distances again and plan on going for 7K later today.

The past two runs I've experienced some left knee pain.. I'm long enough in the tooth now to realise that it's either shoes or orthotics. It can't be shoes as they are only 6 weeks old - however the orthotics are well over a year old so I am off to the podiatrist this afternoon to get new ones. My running is going well lately and I want to nip any little niggle in the bud before it sets in as a proper injury!

I'm feeling very smug this week. I ran 21.1k on Tuesday - and I got away with it. No blisters, no chafing, no painful shins, I wasn't even particularly stiff. I was very tired the next day and took 2 days off from running but my "recovery run" yesterday which I was dubious about was actually very pleasurable. It turned into an easy 5k, exhilarating and invigorating. You know that feeling when you feel strong and the energy is coursing through your veins. Tomorrow I will do a shorter long run (if you know what I mean!). Maybe 7 or 8 km at an easy pace. Running is good at the moment - Jesus, I ran a HM this weekπŸƒπŸ‹πŸ»πŸ‘ (And I'm not dead!).
