Rain virgin and found mojo!

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about losing my mojo now I have lost the structure of the c25k programme.

Thank you to all those who replied. You have made me realise that it is not mandatory to actually enjoy every run and I am no longer beating myself up for not doing so! But what I am enjoying is how the run makes me feel when completed and the extra energy I have had since becoming a runner. There, I've said it - I now feel like a runner.

So I'm back to getting out there! So much so that yesterday I went out in the rain - a first for me (fair weather runner). I actually really enjoyed it as it wasn't cold. Planned to run 5k and ended up doing 7k!

When I'm feeling like I can't be bothered, I just read a few posts on this forum and I'm suddenly motivated to put my trainers on. I feel like you are all spurring me on, telling me "slow and steady " in my ears when I want to give up!

So thank you for all the advice, support, motivation and the occasional kick up the bum when I've needed it! It's appreciated x

Always get out there. You will find once you're out there that's it's much better than you expected 😃 It was really warm out there yesterday! I ran at tea time and it was well scorchio

I shall look forward to seeing your park run on strava!

Definitely tomorro. Why haven’t you done one yet. They are great apart from getting up too early on a Saturday

I have to be up during the week at 6am every day and Sundays early to watch my son play rugby. Saturday is the only day if the week I don't have to set an alarm!

Well done! I have found that I never regret having run, but I often regret the times that I couldn't be bothered. And like you, I think I'll just go out for a short run and then because I'm out there anyway, I might as well do a bit more! Great, isn't it? :)
