Looks yummy. For morning running it's porridge for me with honey and flax seeds and two cups of strong tea.
For anytime running it's usually a smoothie made of kale or spinach, a banana, blueberries and whey protein.
I always have to eat before a run π
Porridge for me or a banana!!
Yes agreed!!
I'm just back from running for an hour. It's Sunday so Mr W has prepared bacon and egg
This makes me very happy π
If it's a between meals run, and a snack is needed as it's longer than 10k, then it could be a case for white toast with peanut butter. Weirdly, I never ate the stuff til I found running π I might have just a banana. I would have an espresso if it was longish run involved
No snacks for me. Sunday Morning runs are on a mug of builders tea. Evening runs on lunch (only 4hrs later). I always eat soon afterwards. Although as my HM distance increases, 14k longest yet, I will need to find something.
I like to run early so I have a mini breakfast of a banana and cup of tea before I run. Then my treat when I get back (breakfast no. 2!) is a bit like yours ... berries, natural yoghurt followed by toast and coffee ... yum yum!
That looks delicious! I usually run 2-3 hours after breakfast so I have a banana before heading out.
*wants*
Post run the other day, I had one of the more chocolatey Primal Pantry bars, spread peanut butter on it and ate it with a banana.
I generally run on an empty stomach in the very early morning or eat a banana if it's a bit later.
If I really need a snack before running it's more likely to be some kind of smoothie made with coconut milk, a banana and some berries.
Porridge with chopped almonds, blueberries and strawberries or raspberries plus a dash of honey. Heaven.π Never tried green tea - is it as good as the hype?

Morning run.. as ever.. cup of tea and two digestives.. bad I know,,but that is what works... favourite after run treat scrambled eggs..( tiny bit of smoked salmon as a real treat!)
I run first thing and I always used to run on empty, having breakfast afterwards, but now I have upped my mileage somewhat I have been persuaded to have high GI carbs before going out. Last few runs I have made up some Bircher muesli (oats and bits soaked in a bit of apple juice and mixed with a bit of yogurt) and had that with a short espresso (for the caffeine), seems to work well. I understand porridge is also good but don't like the taste of warmed milk.
