Set a new PB round Lyme Park Parkrun

All the training runs are paying off as my times for my Parkrun round Lyme Park are getting faster! Managed a 31:27 and I didn't leave anything out on the course as it felt just as hard as my first runs. Still time in the year to crack the 30min mark but we'll see.

Well done. I'm in the same boat. It's my aim to break a 30 min 5k before the end of September. My PB is 31:04. That last minute and 4 seconds feels like a huge task at the moment. I find it very hard to hold a 6:00/km pace for anything more than 3k. I'll get there eventually.

You'll get there with with training with intervals mixed in with easier runs.

Im doing my first park run on Saturday, I cant decide whether to do Lyme or Brabyns, Im a member of Lyme Runners, it was my first week back last week, as Ive spent 6 months injured with torn ankle ligaments , I was new to running last year ( I genuinely couldnt run for 30 seconds when I started the couch to 5K programme, and joining Lyme Runners was part of my mid life crisis , but Tuesdays are my favourite days, even if I am very slow :)

Lyme is a challenge and the terrain is uneven in places, so if you want a flatter course then Brabyns is prob better suited given that you're coming back from a serious injury.

Happy running
