Wasn't sure how things would work out, but it looks like I'm going to be having a go at Lyme Park today!

Hope you had fun SkiMonday ! It’s such a fun course isn’t it, albeit with that hardcore uphill rocky path at the start 🥵 Bet you nailed it though! 😂

Thanks Cheeky. Yea, 'twas good! Finished in just over 29 minutes. There's more detail in my reply to Damien's ParkRun weekly post.

It's definitely one I'd like to tackle at some point, but I'd have to get up half an hour earlier to get out to it, and hope the A555 isn't flooded again.

Is there talk yet of a parkrun meetup? I believe the last one was at Lyme.

Definitely worth giving it a go! Although, do bear in mind that it's quite a stony surface!

I'm not aware of any planned meetups (and I don't think I've been excluded for bad behavior!) However, Lime Park is a bit beyond my normal range.

Stony surfaces don't faze me. Sale Water Park is probably worse for stones. I have trail running shoes, too.

The killer, I'm told, is the relentless hill at the start.

Ah yes, the 80m climb over the first km. There's also a significant climb at the end! Although it's mild compared to the first bit.

Later in the morning, I walked up most of that initial climb as part of our walk to Buxton.

You managed to book suitable weather to get a good view from the cage!

Well done on that run skiMonday. I hate running on stony surfaces.

My main concern was to avoid twistink an ankle.
