Hello, I started the 5-10K yesterday so thought I would say hello. I graduated the C25K at the end of Feb this year with my daughter & felt it is time to move on.
I am 54 (55 on 3rd May) & have 1 stone to loose. I started running on Boxing Day 2016 to help with my weight loss & am now truly addicted to running. I have 2 x5k runs booked 29th April & 1st May & my daughter's wedding in Sept so motivation to keep running is high.
One of the effects of running is the tendency to purchase running gear & accessories & I am gradually developing leggings & running shoe envy lol
I'll stop rambling now & say cheerio x

Good for you! The process from five to ten k is fun but go steady as you can easily get carried away. Stick to the distances laid out and go steady. Cross training is a good idea now, if you are not already doing it
Take care, your still a newbie runner, consolidate 5k runs first before going for 10k ,consider doing c25k+ first, doing too much too soon may lead to the IC..π
Hi Dhiny, welcome and congratulations on graduating. Exciting about your daughter's wedding, certainly a great incentive! Are the runs you have planned at the end of April/May races or Park runs?
