Wowzers! That's fantastic.

I can see from your history that 8 months ago you were outside 30min 5k time and 5 months were doing 50min 8ks, so to now be doing a 2hour Half Marathon is a brilliant achievement- you must be pleased as punch and deservedly so! Very well done 👏👏👏👏

Could you share a rough summary of your training plan?

I have been running with a club. One short run a week alone about 3 to 5 miles. Then one intervals mid week with club then a longer run on Sunday's. Marathon training started end of November distances building up week by week. 4.5 miles up to 11. We do a mix of road and cross country. Lots of hills!

Thanks Beccy. It seems I am on the right track having started c25k in October and at the moment I am doing 2x 5k during the week and then a weekend 10k. Mile 4-5 seems to hurt more than the last mile, which may be psychological!

I think it is the hills where the benefits really come but at the moment I am not socialising with them!!

Still 6 months until my HM so I'm sure it will get easier and I will soon start adding 10%.

Congrats again.

Fantastic Beccym,

Thats wonderful well done.

I imagine that a hot bath is the next part of your day.

I hope that the weather was good for your run.

All the best,

Wowee! 😀 Huge congratulations and what a fantastic time! You must be really pleased with that - well done. 👏🥇🎉 Here starts the HM season I think - a few of us taking on the Half at the moment, mine's two weeks away. 😮 What's next for you, running wise?
