So I posted yesterday about my cunning plan to run by the river in Kraków tonight. And true to my word I did it. Trotted back to the hotel got about 7pm and straight into running gear.
Now here’s the thing. I usually run in the mornings, in fact more specifically I only ever run in the mornings. Hottest it’s been is 16 degrees. Tonight was 26 degrees. Wow. Those of you who run in the daytime or evening at the moment are either amazing or completely bonkers. Probably both.
It was so tough but I managed the 7k I was planning so I’m well pleased. Time to search for food now and possibly a well earned beer. 😀

It’s nasty isn’t it. Problem is I felt okay until 3.5km but by that point I was furthest away from the hotel so either had to walk or run back. I was bright red and dripping in sweat. People did seem to move out of my way nicely 🤣
Wow well done. I only run in the morning too - I couldn’t do it any later. What a beautiful picture. I’ve always wanted to go there. Hope you enjoyed your beer! 🍺
Thanks. The beer was lovely. It has definitely made me more aware that if I ever want to do an event I’ll need to prepare properly. Very few races at 7am I guess so will need to get used to running in heat.
Thanks ju-ju. A useful learning I think. Was very busy which I think is also more tiring vs quiet early morning runs - people walking, cyclists, people on roller skates.
