We leave for home sometime tomorrow so this morning was my last good chance for a decent pootle in Penwith.
I decided to run a variation on on my previous outing from Botallack towards Pendeen. Once again the sky was sunny and blue and the sea even bluer. I love running here. I promised myself no stopping for photos but couldn't resist!
As well as leaving me completely relaxed and at one with the world (and work stresses on another planet somewhere) the running during this holiday has taught me at least two things.
One is that I'm better at hills than I thought I was (slow but determined is how I'd categorise it) I tend to avoid hilly routes at home but will now be happier giving them a go - maybe the views make the difference - I guess we'll see.
The second thing is that the refusal of my headphones to charge means that I've been running 'naked'as it were here. Something I also thought I didn't like - but I haven't missed the music/radio dramas/audio books a bit. And I've stopped being bothered by my breathing (a sort of continuous gasping ๐). Again maybe that's because of the novel routes and scenery?
Best of all what with all the walking and running my legs feel really good and my head even healthier ๐.
Hope you're all enjoying holiday running too!
