Never running in a morning again!

Hubby and I always run in the evening after work, but today since we were having a day off decided to run in the morning. Only the second time since graduating C25K and I've ended up dialling 999 both times. First time we tried it we called an ambulance as we heard someone fall from a ladder (broken femur, ouch!). This morning it was a call to the police after being harassed by a bloke in a van who was trying to sell mattresses to our elderly neighbours. From now on I'm sticking to running in the dark!

3rd time might be a charm. I prefer running in the evening too. But enjoy a weekly parkrun on Saturday mornings. Give parkrun a try and treat yourselves to Breakfast afterwards.

Thankyou. I must pluck up the courage for a parkrun. The times on our local one are putting me off a little I must admit

It’s a great way to kick off the weekend. You’ll love it.

Are you just looking at the winner's time? That'll be around 17 minutes. But the last runners are usually at least 50 minutes, often over an hour ….

Sadly only a couple of people over 45 minutes some weeks. They're a speedy lot. I know it's not a race, though and I should just go and do it. New Year reslolution!

My local Pr is like that, I think, because it’s flat. I am considering going to another quite nearby with slower times ...& the added bonus that no one will know me! 😂😂

I have got to know people through my park run. It’s great now, the shout me me.”come on Rogie”. I also don’t care what I look like, suppose that helps. Lol

You don’t need courage for parkrun, just register for a barcode., and go. It’s great fun.

Your morning runs may not have gone to plan but you've been there twice and helped people who would be so pleased you did. 🤩🤩

That's true, but it ruins the runs!

(only joking, glad we were there to help)

Yes I understand you just want to run with no hassle

Oh goodness! 😧 ... What a good thing you were there both times.

I think you need to do your morning runs in superhero costumes! ... Any convenient phone boxes nearby??! 😂
