Morning all. I used to be quite confident running one or two 10ks per week but it's been a good couple of months since I've been out. Managed to get through a 28m 5k on Thursday and looking to try and push on for that magic 10. Good luck to all who are out today and look forward to the updates. Steve

I wish I were a confident runner but I am not! How do you get to be one? I am just getting up to 10k and am not comfortable with it yet. I have some days where 3k is a struggle and another day where 10k felt good. It would be nice to have consistency in my running! The only consistent thing is my pace at 10min/mile! Some of us are following ju-ju's plan to 10k at the moment.
I'm quite fortunate and enjoy going out, pretty much regardless of the weather. I find that planning my route in advance works well and for me, doing the same or very similar ones each time. It means I've constantly got markers in my mind to keep my mind busy and engaged. Music obviously works a treat as well but I've also started listening to podcasts. Sometimes the general chit chat on the Boxing toe-2-toe podcast seems to make the time fly by! I know what you mean with the consistency though, would be brilliant to just hit 'repeat' on the good runs!!
