Moved to 15km in a rather slow 100 minutes.
On regular consultations with my doc, to push further without going overboard.
Focusing on keeping the time under 90 minutes for a month.

Sounds ok to me! What average pace is that? Road or trail?
Road.
First 6km at just over 6min/km and the next 4 at close to 5 min/km and remaining at nearly 7min/km. This is pretty the same everyday as the main constraint is the stray animals on my route who could get active when they see a person speeding, very early in the morning.
Alternate routes are pretty rugged and my doctor discourages me from using it. Maybe later, I hope.
I schedule my runs for 4-5 days a week with breaks on Wednesdays and Sundays. I get at least 4 days a week on an average. Strengthening exercises at the Gym 5-6 days a week.
The great news is that my HBA1C reading is close to "normal" (from "good control" earlier) and am in touch with my doctor regularly (successfully persuaded him to be a running partner, at least few days a week). He has promised to work out on reducing my medications, on the long run, based on the progress I show.
I have just caught up with your 'journey', reading some of your posts. You have done amazingly well and your dedication is inspirational. I don't think there are many people on this forum who run four times a week AND manage five or six gym sessions! So good to hear that your health is improving - I should think so after all your hard work! Wishing you all the best.
I think you're spot on with focusing on a regular good achievement for a month before making further steps... slow progress wins the race every day of the week
