just completed my first ever 7 k run. The most I have ever run. Really felt it though it may be the heat plus the route was a lot more hilly than I thought it would be...but I finished and feel good😊
Stepped up a little: just completed my first... - Bridge to 10K
Stepped up a little

Good! Well done 😊
Keep upping the distance, little by little, bit by bit ☺ Enjoy yourself ☺

That's great! I remember my first 7k and how chuffed I was to do it! You will find 5 and 6K easier now. Little by little you can add distance if you want to, enjoy your running!
Oh! I sound just like Wobble!

Well done. I think 7K is the magic point and if you can get to 7K then you can do 10K. Keep to the 10% rule and it's a good idea to take your mileage down a week every now and again and not increase every week.
Congrats IanD62 , nice run.

Excellent - especially in this heat! I think 7k is the next defining distance after 5k. When you do your first non-stop 5k, it's a moment. For me, I then stuck at 5k for quite a while. When I did 7k, I realised that I could actually go further. Don't go too far too fast, but if you want to, now you can! Have fun

Well done IanD62 , consolidate the distances for a bit and then move on. I personally found that the best way in terms of keeping the gremlins at bay knowing that I could run that distance and then as everyone will say on here don't go above the 10% rule.
