Dun dun duuun... 10K tomorrow!

My first ever race (not including parkruns) at 11am tomorrow and my first ever 10K!

I've been on holiday (which was lovely but not ideal for training!) so didn't run the previous week at all (and ate a lot of scrumptious food) so not really sure how my fitness is anymore. This week I ran a 6K on Tuesday once I was back, so at least there is that ... here goes nothing!

Wish me luck, folks! The adrenaline is already starting to kick in, I think! I'm excited too of course, but thinking about things like "What if I'm late?!", "What if there's no parking?!", "What if I need the loo?!", "What if the course (terrain) is too much of a challenge?!", "What if I'm the last to finish out of all the 5K and 10Kers?" and the big "What if I can't manage the whole 10K?!".

Just need to do it. I can do this.

I sincerely hope to be reporting back tomorrow evening, as a happy lady! Thanks so much to everyone who has given me support on my 10K journey. Here is a snap of my clothes laid out tonight!

At least, what ever happens, I can say I have raised a bit of money for CRUK <3

Lots of luck for tomorrow Sarah - you will be fab! Race for Life is such a great cause - I ran one a few years back in memory of my Dad, who I lost to cancer many years ago now. A great way of paying tribute to a lost loved one and of course the whole event is very moving as well as the great sense of camaraderie. Look forward to reading your post race report!🏃🏻🙂
