Afternoon Everyone

I thought I would post an update of what I am up to. I think last time I posted I was pushing to 10k distance and still training regualrly.

I can say with absolute JOY that i have completed two 10k races now;

Lincoln 10k (Run for All) in April with a time of 01:18:23

Manchester 10k (Great Run) in May with a time of 01:15:37

The huge news is the 3 minute improvement in just one month.

At the Manchester 10k I felt unstoppable, in the best shape of my life. It was the best run I have ever done with NO ISSUES or niggles. I am so pleased.

I have lost 1/2 stone between those races too so its just great news all round.

I've ramped up my training and still run three times a week and cross train most days, but now I do alot of body weight strength training and squats which I think helps alot.

I am so happy and proud of what I have achieved in just ONE YEAR. Anyone can do it.

My upcoming races are:

Woodhall Spa - this Sunday!

Nottingham 10k (Womens Running) in July

Will anyone else be at these?

Keep safe guys x

It was amazing, we ran for the NSPCC too and had our names on our shirts and to hear people shouting and cheering us was awesome. I loved the whole day and will be there next year without a doubt. I was going to aim for the Great North Run next year as my first HM but I'm actually busy the day before, so never mind!! 👰🏼😍 xx

Yes, it really was a brilliant day. GMR are doing 2 runs on the same day next year , the 10k and a new one for next year a HM. So you could do the HM there if you fancy it ? :-) xxx

Well done you. You've done amazingly well and your joy just shines through your post. I did a Women's Running 10K event last year and must say it was very well organised and the best bit was they call out your name when you cross the finish line! They have a great goody bag too but stupidly I forgot to pick mine up! Idiot.

Absolutely wonderful and an inspiration for all , you have done brilluantly slowmover

As poppypug said just shows what you can achieve 😊
