My mother has had her chemo, surgery and radiation completed. Her one breast is removed, so we are searching for mastectomy bras for her. Are these available online? If so, please tell from which site? And is it safe to wear them?

I wear an ordinary bra with a prosthesis made by the Indian Cancer Society. It is not a sophisticated prosthesis but it is cheap and lasts for about 3 to four months. You can get it from the ICS office in Mumbai. The ones made of synthetic material cost anywhere between Rs 6000 to 12000 in Mumbai. Your breast surgeon should give you a list of outlets in your city.

why don't you search in the American cancer society's site for accessories. There is everything and relatively cheaper. They send it to India. You will receive in less than ten days. I had bought many things from them for my wife.
