best to speak to your GP.

I'm sorry for your new fun symptom! I've had PVCS now for about 15 years, they're so regular that I pretty much have to be in bigeminy to even notice them any more. Almost anything can trigger them but I did notice they were worse with my first dose of Fosamax, too. Told GP, he's like, "Oh yeah, that's real." Great, y'all didn't mention THAT side effect.

Obviously I can't tell you if you should be concerned. What I can tell you is that as a 55 year old female who ended up in the ER because they got so bad they made my chest hurt in a disruptive way (up to that point, I hadn't realized my chest hurt a little all the time,) who DID get all the tests, just in case, only to be told my heart is functioning just fine, and unfortunately there's not much else I/,they can do, and now as a 62 year old who apparently is in bigeminy on the regular, doctors seem quite uninterested in PVCs. I too have now read that they may not be as benign as doctors make them out to be, and I've had them so frequently for so long, there's a solid chance, based on Dr Google, that cardiomyopathy IS on the table. (Hey, I was fine re: osteoporosis until I wasn't, right? I went from running long distances and lifting weights/taking crazy classes to "omg, I'm literally broken" overnight (it seemed like,) and not one person hinted my back trouble could be osteoporosis, so...I'm taking doctors' lackadaisical attitudes with a grain of salt, and trying to do better at not ignoring or underestimating my own symptoms, not letting doctors gaslight me. But it's rough--it's not like I WANT to see myself as infirm, so if they dismiss me, I'll tend to run with that.

They might actually take you more seriously, though, and if you haven't had a thorough heart related workup, it's probably worth doing. I just think at least part of the problem is they really don't know what to do about them. (Beta blockers DO help but even an ablation--so I was told--might or might not cure them.) Probably they're right, though: for the vast majority, they're benign, and for the rest of us, well, something is going to kill us eventually?

Good luck!

the reason I suggested speaking to your GP is that if you explain your symptoms as you have done in your post, they might organise a simple ECG for you which will reveal if you have AF (atrial fibrillation)..even a minor blip. If they think it necessary, they might then arrange for you to borrow a device from the surgery which will monitor your heart for several days for them to get a better assessment. Please do take this approach to get a better picture as it is a proactive thing to do and coils well set your mind at rest that you have no need to worry. Also, please remember we can ‘over read/think’ so much that our minds persuade us we might have more going on than is the case. It might help to sequence things in a one, two, three steps way…that is, ok, you’ve read this is a possible side effect of reclast infusion, so… 1] you need to set in motion an action to see if the side effect you seem to be experiencing is actually affecting your heart pumping system or not….then once you have the results from your GP…2] you can take it further to step 3] … IF that is what is needed and if not, then your GP can advise you. I wish you the very best of luck.
