I am post menopausal. I use Vagifem pessaries. I have a constant strange sensation of feeling like I need to pee but nothing happens. It’s particularly bad at night and keeping me awake. I am not passing urine any more than usual.
Urine culture was normal. Blood test for diabetes normal. Now applying estrogen cream topically to urethral opening. Unfortunately it’s not making any difference.
I did suffer from UTIs in the past and wonder if this is a symptom of interstitial cystitis?
