Hi everyone. I hope someone can give me some hope on the issues im having now with my bladder.
I was abroad in the far east touring on a motorbike. I started having burning in the end of my penis and constant urge to pee. This went on for weeks before i finally stopped somewhere at a medical centre and got my urine tested. Came back gram negative cocco bacilli pus 2. Gave me cipro for 5 days it did nothing. I then was due yo fly home and started getting severe pain in scrotum. Diagnosed epididymo-orchitis. Got back uk and went docs they did a urine culture and all tests and asked me if i had a std. I said no i havent had a partned but they tested me for that and came back negative. The urine culture came back with pus cells so got put on ofloxacin for 2 weeks because they think it maybe is prostatitis. Anyway did nothing and still have severe symptoms.
My urge to go toilet us constant. When i comtract as if i want to stop flow of urine i feel a burning sensation in my penis and scrotum. They did a psa and blood inflammation and came back normal.
Could this uti have caused all this 2 months down the line.
I hope someone can help in this situation.

you could raise the question with your gp with the suggestion that it could be infection embedded in the bladder. After 12 years of similar with repeated supposedly uti infections finally got sorted with gentamicin and fosfamycin via IV in hospital. was embedded in bladder and doesnt show up on the usual infection tests they do.
hi It came about after having many uti’s over the preceeding years, and finally one doc when in hospital for yet another infection, decided enough was enough, and gave IV antibiotics- the usual ones issued were never going to clear infection up. It was this that he said indicated it was an embedded infection that needed strong,iv gentamycin and fosamycin to clear. which it did. thus far no repeat ifections at all for 5 year or so.
It was gentamicin by IV and oral fosfomycin that cleared it, after years of the usual prescribed oral antibiotics just held it at bay for short intervals.
