Good morning, I was just wondering if anyone has tried milk thistle to try and improve cirrhosis of the liver and to add
bile

to the body?

None of this is BHF problem but the 'doctor' on you tube recommended purified
bile
salts
. As I am not a fan of self prescribing or homeopathic remedies I wonder if taking this medication could be detrimental to his other heart meds - atorvastatin etc?

I also have
bile

malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years my UTIs were being treated with antibiotics - mostly Prophylactic

⚠ Toilet humour ahead - TUDCA experiment
I've been taking TUDCA
bile

this week and I can confirm in my laboratory testing (Bathroom) that it does indeed make for none skid mark sinkers and a rather pleasing 4 on the Bristol Stool Chart!! The idea being low stomach acid precludes bile production which limits digestive ability...

Intense pruritus following liver transplant - diagnosed with hepatic cholestatic. Any help please?
I then had a stent fitted to help the

Fatty Liver with Gall Bladder removal?
From what I have read once the gall bladder is removed ox
bile
or
bile
salts
should be taken to help the liver process the fat in your food. I didn’t know this until 1 year after my removal so I wonder if this had anything to do with my fatty liver. Anyone else have this experience?

Bile Salts for gallbladder
Hi, I'm considering trying
bile
salts
as my gallbladder is problematic, and I'm aware others have posted on here in the past about taking
bile
salts
. For anyone who has used them, wonder: a) what brand you use/d (that is GF safe); b) how did you find them?

TROUBLE SLEEPING
I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2024 and am taking 12.5 mg prednisone as well as Kevzara. I have always been a poor sleeper but the steroids have made it even harder. The typical solutions such as Unisom, Tylenol PM, Melatonin etc just amp me up more. I occasionally take an Ambien just to sleep a

Fibroscan 6.7 kpa / Biopsy Stage 4 Cirrhosis?!?
Hi everybody - so I am completely at a loss to understand how my Fibroscan could be completely normal (100 CAP/6.7 kpa, repeated 3x with the same results) when the biopsy reading from my hepatologist came back from the lab as being Stage 4 Cirrhosis. The doctor himself is also unsure what to make of

Should something be done with a “moderately high” ALP?
Good moring! I had my bloods drawn last week and both ALT and AST went back to normal. My GGT came down but not normal, and ALP stayed the same as three months ago at 177 It was previously 385. (here, the ULN is 122). I have been on Urso for nine months, but only on the optimal dose for four months
