Flank pain bilateral

Hi everyone! Last week I was hosptialized for pneumonia, was given antibiotics and predinosne 50 mg everyday for 5 days. I was discharged home and felt so much better, but about 2 days after discharge (about 6 days ago) I woke up with very severe bilateral lower back and flank pain. My urine looks normal. I don't think the pain in muscle related as lots of motrin and flexoril didn't even touch it. I have a hard time getting up from a seated position the pain is so bad. I am seeing my GP today (I am inbetween rheumy's, my previous one was useless)...last summer I had episodes of very mild bilatera flank pain that would come and go, it was so elusive. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Thank you!

Hi chrissymeg, I hope your GP will help you get some answers. Hope you at least get ultrasound on your kidneys. Let us know how you get on

Thank you! My kidney sonogram and urine came out fine! The flank pain was muscular due to coughing, not the Behcet’s! I’m so happy!
