Second AZ vaccine and little side effects!

For me the first AZ vaccination caused many side effects plus worsening of ataxia symptoms.

Some of you may have read my previous post on this issue.

BUT the second vaccination was totally different. None of the headaches, nausea, aching, chills etc. But it still made my ataxia symptoms worse. Hard to say for how long though as they are slowly improving.

Why did this, or rather, didn't happen. (No side effects.)

I think the only explanation is, I am now dairy free and rice free as well as gluten free and this means less inflammation and a less compromised immune system.

Following a private and advanced blood test that showed up a dairy and rice sensitivity, I have now ruled these out too. This is not a dietary approach to be taken lightly. It is extremely hard to follow as most GF foods contain rice. So I urge anyone who adopts this nutrition and FF approach to seek a knowledgeable nutritionist.

It is difficult to stay motivated and on track as I expect it to take another 12 months or more to feel the full benefit of this approach to treating ?????? Ataxia. X

With no wish to detract from this excellent work that you have accomplished I would just like to say I also did not experience the bad effects on my second jab. I attributed this to having followed advice given whilst there.. this was to rest and take precautionary ibuprofen or paracetamol straight away.

Rice is actually Gluten Free ????? gluteninsight.com/is-rice-g...

Dairy Sensitivity is is due to Lactose intolerance

Yes you are right but interesting though is that gluten sensitivity/intolerance although I am not Celiac, can lead over a long period of time and autoimmune, and the damage to the gut (intestinal permeability) so other grains can be involved. Hopefully that with gut healing then eventually rice will not be problematic for me.Amazingly my hay-fever symptoms have gone away since rice and dairy free. And there are other pointers too which leads me to believe that these foods were leading to inflammation.

Hay-fever is not to be underestimated and I have had this every summer since my late teens

Now in my 60s!

I absolutely agree. Any sensitivity for me can cause problems so I cannot eat even GF oats or even a tiny bit of maize or I start falling over the next day. Like you, I avoid GF shop bought foods, I think I am lucky to be able to eat rice! You are not alone, many people cannot eat rice. The only other person I know who cannot eat maize without being affected is my nephew but I see lots of medications are now swapping to potato as a 'filler', some people are sensitive to that as well! Received wisdom says these things do not enter the brain, as gluten can (I am not coeliac either) but if, for example, you then fall over uncontrollably, it is pretty dangerous and should be avoided. I had little problem with the 2nd AZ dose.

If your gut is totally damaged, health professionals can supervise an Elemental Diet.
