Hi thankyou everyone for you're replies I'm just wondering I have avamys nasel spray sometimes I take it sometimes I don't but since I was bad there I was taking it only once on a morning I'm wondering if that could off caused sore fiery throat and tongue I've just thought bout it has anyone got any experience off that thankyou

It is a possibility. Does the nasal spray come with instructions and a list of possible side effects? If so, do check these out.

Yes it said about side effects but didn't see anything bout making throat sore or tongue so it was a thought I had

I've been using Avamys nasel spray for a few years now without any side effects. I use one spray in each nostril once a day in the morning.

I had a permenant dripping nose and they found out that I had a deviated septum; it seems to help with that.

I take my avamys for sinus with nasel drip that runs down back throat I'm just trying solve why I have this realy severe raw fiery throat and tongue but I've been thinking again clutching at straws could it be carberstiene cause I have been given syrip instead of tablets cause I couldn't swallow them to be honest I don't know

You could be sensitive to the steroid element of Avamys? I have steroids in my inhaler that give me a sore throat but the nasal spray on its own didn't but maybe for you it does? Without wanting to sound too rude, sometimes snoring can cause a sore throat too or even Gerd? So you have any other symptoms that might be causing it?

I use Avamys when the pollen count is high. No ill effects so far.

I was just clutching at straws really what had caused firey throat and tongue

I take it for allergies - don’t think it’s that strong and I sometimes forget - the level of allergy here in Andalucía is bonkers - very dusty ( not enough rain) all the olive trees etc etc . And yet we think how great to live in such a rural unpolluted area. And … my doctor says most kids here are lacking vitamin d - too much sun cream ! Who’d have thought it.
