A big thankyou for you're replys I rang boots they said oo we can help give antibiotics but then cause I said we'll I suffer on and off years and always get doxycyline she said ooo well sorry we can't help see a docter I thought what a waste off time so I have a box which I keep meds in so I raked about desperately and by the grace off God found about 6 doxycyline thought right I normally take 2 first day then one each day I know I shouldn't they were in date so I wolfed 2 down that's how desperate I am but thankyou for you're replys I never thought of ringing 111 so hopefully I've got enough till Monday till I ring docters I wish I made appointment at docters about it one off these days I will learn

Hi Germantara - When I need Doxy I ring GP if my Rescue Pack is used up, then it's easy to get in hand.

Thankyou for you're reply I rummaged through my box found enough till Monday my daughter did some think on phone were ya can go on docters website to request doxycyline she had to tell them why which is fair enough but she says they might ring me but if its accepted it will be Tuesday afore I get them unless I ring docters on Monday and explain and hopefully get them Monday you know through my stupidly or ignorance I could of avoided this cause I haven't been well at all taday haven't been able to sleep my copd acting up cause off it haven't got chest infection the infection is in my nooter had this for over thirty years I've never found any lasting relief I know others on forum also suffer with this awfull thing

I hope you are feeling more well soon, You might just scrape through until Tueday with the Doxy you have.

I phone my emergancy pack to surgery as it's not onmy repeat, Pharmasist I have bring them same day. Mylast big copd event was just before Christmas - Sleep is not easy with pred. Hope everything runs smooth for you

Just read your earlier post. For future consideration I have always found 111 extremely helpful. Don’t these things usually happen at the weekend! I have recurring UTI and have phoned 111. They go through all the questions and then will arrange for a doctor to phone me. Doctor will phone and so far has always sent a prescription to my local chemist.
