this is my anxiety state
Hi Baz
Hows it going, I've only had my anxiety for 33 yrs,
I'm getting alot better now, since I decided to throw the valium/xanax out the door, and face these horrible symptoms, its bloody hard, but it feels so much better.#
I've still got lots to do.
Wishing you well
Hi baylien
i might try stopping tranquillisers again but have never managed to come off valium completely but is worth a go thanks for your reply
Welcome
Not sure how long you have been taking tranquillisers & valium , if you are thinking about stopping them , I would get advise from your GP how to come of them as they are very addictive & there can be some with drawel symptoms , so always best to taper of with your GP'S advice
Have a look around the site , you will see you are not alone , some people have overcome anxiety , some people are still on the road to over coming anxiety , lots of different views & suggestions , hope some you will find useful
Keep talking , that helps

Hi Baz
I only used the valium when absolutely necessary, so when I stopped, I didn't get any physical withdrawals. Except wanting them
Like whywhy says, check with the docs first.
I had a coping mechanism in place and some therpy help ongoing to, and I've learnt lots on the way, been off it 3 yrs now, and glad I did it.
I had to really as I was getting severve health problems associated with the anxiety, and taking of pills. It was easier to not take them, as the aftereffects were easier to manage.
Did you find the therapies unhelpfull?
