Anti-depressants, such as citalopram initially can cause the above feeling, but given time to get into your system, your body will adjust and these initial side effects should disappear.

This can take 3/4 weeeks...........regards...........stde

Sorry forgot to mention that occassionally your anx/dep may feel worse during this period but once again soon settles...........worth the effort..........stde

Hey.... yes one of the main side effects is nausea. Eat little and often and if it continues, go back to your gp & they may give you something to ease the nausea. As ste said its worth the wait, they will help. take lots of care, dont be hard on yourself x x

Hi, what dose have you been given, i was given 20mg just over weeks ago but i couldnt eat the first day as felt so sick and vomited by the evening, i called my doctot and he said to take 10mg to get my body used to them, i saw him 2 days ago and im now on 20mg from yesterday, thought the same thing would happen with me feelig/being sick but i was fine. He said if i eel sick though try and stick with them as this feeling will ware off. I found im ok if i eat something before i take my pill first thing in the morning, if i dont i feel sick. Good luck x

I've been given 20mg but I have to take mine at night, I've been given Bedranol to take in a morning.
