Stemetil 5mg

I dont suffer that bad with panic attacks,its the lightheadedness that i get and get it all day everyday,my doc gave me some tablets called stemetil 5mg,ive had bad side affects to other meds and dont know whether to take them or not,the tablets say there for dizzyness,will they work with suffering from anxiety too?

Stemtil is sometimes used for anxiety/panic, fairly old drug, was used as an antipsychotic not too many moons ago can't quite remember why it was withdrawn, used more for nausea etc these days. Is your GP old school?

they thought i might have had vertigo at 1st,the tablets are for that aswell,i just dont want to take them incase i get bad side affects,but this lightheadedness is really getting to me now

You know anxiety itself can cause lightheadedness. I suffer from it daily but just try to get on with it as I'm not a fan of medication. I wouldn't be surprised if your meds are the cause, one of the probs with old antipsychotics is the catalogue of side effects. I guess you have to ask yourself are you better with or without them, as you know only you can answer that question.
