Is this Anxiety? Burning pain just beloe ribcage in the centre of chest.

Hi all I was diagnosed with depression & Health anxiety in July,prescribed citalopram 40mg.The Depression has long gone & I thought the anxiety had faded too,but today I felt really anxious & have had this pain all day does anyone else suffer this? Cheers for any answers

Hi gretch glad to hear your depression is better maybe the anxiety u are feeling is causing the burning pain ,it may be reflux ,if I am anxious my recluse plays up and that is a burning pain in the centre of my chest it can also send pains up your neck. Try drinking some milk and if it continues see your gp good luck

Hi yes i have something like it. it's most likely anxiety some meds can cause problems my dr puts mine down to the asprin i have to take along with other meds but get yourself checked out this illness has many different faces they can all be eased as soon as you find out its not what we all fear it maybe try gaviscon or something similar whichever suits until you've seen you dr wishing you well Mel
