Hi, Does anyone else get numbness in their face, I have been suffering with this for the last few months. It tends to be mostly on my right hand side but can also get it on my left too. Also feels like my whole face is going to start moving around, I know this may sound strange but it is starting to worry me more & more, any replies would be much appreciated........Thanks..xxxxxx

Numbness in my face..........

Hello, I have never had that feeling but my friend has suffered from it before he had the one side go numb and his mouth dropped and it was due to his anxiety, but it may be worth while just letting your doctor know what's going on. Numbness any where on the body can be due to anxiety but always get it checked for proper peace of mind.
HI just to let you know i had this too when i first found out i had anxiety my face was numb and sometimes so bad i could hardly speak went to a and e but they assured me it was anxiety but if you are worried go to doctor otherwise you will only get more stressed x
Hi there. I've had numbness in my face before due to acute anxiety - sometimes localised around the mouth, nose or forehead and sometimes all over (once my tongue went numb!). I got it checked out and it was nothing to worry about, just a symptom of my anxiety. But you probably should go to your GP and get it checked out, for your own peace of mind.
Hi, yes I too get similar numbness/pins & needles in my face, nose, mouth and brow from time to time when I am feeling anxious. This sometimes extends over my scalp too which is really uncomfortable. Apparently a common symptom of anxiety and not indicative of any other underlying problem. However it is very good advice (from Woody1875, Milo and purplepoodle) to get it checked out via your GP to eliminate any other problems and rule out yet another thing to worry about!!
Good luck and hang in there!
P.S. For good measure, the link below from the Anxiety-Centre website shows a horrendous list of symptoms that can be associated with anxiety!
