This has been prescribed by my gp in the UK. I'm scared to take it. Has anyone here used it please

Yes, I have taken methanamine hippurate. It was to make sure a UTI did not return. It worked well and there were no side effects. In order for it to work, however, your urine has to be acidic. I was told to take ascorbic acid with it. Double check that your doctor knows how to acidify your urine.
