I have suffered from depression and anxiety for ages. My anxiety has been much worse in the past few years. Now I’ve been diagnosed with heart failure and can’t tell when my chest pain is because of my anxiety or my heart.
I suffer with anxiety as well as other MH issues to
One of my anxieties is health anxiety which I used to try and reason with till I had a heart attack followed by two more which resulted in a triple Bypass and it is coming up 3 years since I had my Bypass and I still panic all the time
I am classed as having heart failure as my first heart attack damaged part of ny heart that nothing could be done about that
I am on medications are you on any at all as some can make you breathless
The pain you are getting I would say you need to get that checked out you may have Angina but it needs addressing so I would see your Doctor
Are you getting any treatment is there anything they say they can do to improve your heart failure ?
I hope you are getting regular check ups these can be reassuring
It is so hard when you suffer from anxiety and have a health condition that can make you breathless as well as any pain to separate which one it may be causing it I have the same problem to but if ever you are in doubt always speak with your Doctor or Consultant if you have one so they can reassure you as well as examine you that things are stable
Sorry I cannot be of anymore help hopefully someone else maybe able to give you some advice but let us know how you get on x
In same boat. Don't know how you English refer to it, but the condition is called Coronary Artery Disease here in Canada. I'm still convinced the tightness I felt in my chest was due to sever anxiety/panic attacks (I have a couple MH problems), but acknowledge that CAD most probably played a role. I hope it's a small role, like 80/20 or thereabouts. I can probably manage my mental health (been doing for about 40 years), even if it's sometimes poorly. Having to constantly monitor cholesterol levels and poor blood circulation... that's not something I look forward to 😓
