I'm still overthinking!

Today I had to visit bank due to some urgent work. And the moment I stepped out from my home, I started feeling nervous and sweating out. My heart rate was increasing. On the way to bank I can't even face anyone, even at bank I was fumbling. Anyhow I make it to the bank. But still I'm overthinking everything that happened today with me. This isn't life anymore, this is just getting throughout the day. I hope that one day it'll be something more than that.

And someday when the time is right for you Shetty35, it will happen.

I remember feeling just like you. Feeling symptoms of anxiety going to the

store, going to the bank and visiting family was a monstrous feat. You're

right that isn't life anymore, it's just about getting through the day. Go to

sleep and start the same process over again tomorrow.

Not until we let go of our overthinking and our what ifs will we feel comfortable

running errands and even visiting.

It's not about popping a pill or having therapy as much as it is about finding tools

to use that can help. I use to keep my head down and avoided eye contact with

people in passing. Now, I do breathing exercises and meditation and feel more

confident in who I am. And you will too. You will soon realize that everyone is

preoccupied with their own lives that they don't have the time to be studying us.

One step at a time will get you to where you want to be. My best :) xx

p.s. it isnt an opiate, doesnt affect the brain. The Dr might put you on 40mg, my advice is to go for 10mg's as you can always take more where 40mg you cannot(if you go down this route). Me personally, having a calm heart rate helps so that i can use other coping mechanisms for where your heads at, one less thing to worry about! good luck in your life :)

hug - you are not alone, it’s usual. Small step, smile and be happy for something every day. Life in general is a challenge.

Hi. Acceptance is key to overcoming your abnormal levels of anxiety. Learn to be ok about feeling nervous and stop trying to change how you are feeling. Due to sensitisation of your nerves through stress or trauma, your emotional state becomes grossly exaggerated meaning doing routine stuff can feel overwhelming. Dont worry because this ix temporary and your 'bad' nerves will de- sensitise and return to a state of calm over a period of time when you learn to accept, instead of fighting or avoiding those thoughts and feelings.
