My anxiety never stops

I am new here... Why can't I control my anxiety, ADHD, and depression better than I do? I have tried everything including medication (which I currently take), playing games on my phone, listening to music, and sleeping. What can I do to help myself and help others understand? Thank you.

In addition to my meds I also use a psychiatrist, therapist, support group, prayer and meditation. I try to live in the moment and not the past or future.

This site helps too.

I found that meds, in my case Klonopin, helped with my anxiety but what also helped was learning that I had been approaching it totally wrong and instead learning what it really is and how to constructively deal with it. Our instinct and even what some of us are taught is to fight and resist the anxious feelings and make them go away as quickly as possible but anxiety is a paradox and the more we fight or resist it the more it persists. The solution is to understand what is really happening and desensitize our body to the feelings/sensations and accept that the anxious thoughts aren't real and to not believe them. It takes time and persistence but works and helps in dealing with the anxiety. What also can help is determining why and how you developed anxiety. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos helpful and also the youtube videos and website of Paige Pradko. Knowing what anxiety really is and what is really going on helps take the fear out of it.

I understand how you feel. You are not alone. I have been dealing daily with overwhelming fear and anxiety for 10 yrs now. You name it, I've tried it, nothing helps. Would having the radio on low help? Have you tried "tapping" many videos on YouTube. Right now I am trying Calm gummies from Amazon suggested by my therapist. It will be interesting to see if they help. Hang in there.

I tried Lion's Mane and it took the edge off my anxiety.

I found that constantly trying to put things in perspective sometimes helps, it’s hard but it’s constantly about putting yourself in someone else’s shoes. Also surround yourself with loved ones and friends, spending time alone too much leaves you to your thoughts which isn’t always good. Hope this helps, wish you luck 😀
