Hi Cgirl81, make sure you give yourself time to adjust to the medication.

When the dosage is increased it could add on a few unpleasant symptoms but

know that once the drug reached full efficacy, you will start seeing some relief.

Be patient and keep your mind in a position place. Do things you enjoy

and don't just sit and wait for results. Going forward is about moving forward.

I wish you the best :) xx

hi , I totally understand. I had a breakdown 6 wks ago. I too had awful feelings shaky, knotted tummy tingling arms. My doctor put me on Dulexatine 30mg. It took 3 weeks for them to start working. I’m now feel a lot better so try and stick with it. Good luck x

Hello, I know it can be distressing waiting for a med to work and hopefully you will start to feel better in a few weeks. Citalopram is an ssri and can take 4 - 6 weeks to make noticeable changes so give it time to work. Your anxiety makes you hyper-vigilant and potentially exasperating your anxiety so try to distract your self and get on with your daily life in the meantime and keep posting here for support, you can do it.
