Hi, since getting my covid booster in Dec last year I have had nothing but problems. First I got a blocked ear then snatched hearing in crowds. After a telephone consultation (!!) With a nurse I managed to get an apt on Christmas Eve. After several weeks I was referred to an ENT consultant (51 week wait). I therefore went private and ended up with an MRI head scan. Fortunately for me this was clear but the problems got worse to include migraine n neck aches plus blurred eyesight.
After 2 hearings tests plus eye tests I returned I my gp who diagnosed anxiety and stress. She put me on antidepressants! I asked to be referred to a neurologist with a year's wait to be seen, so once again I went private ( pension money!) 2 consulations and another clear MRI. He suggested chronic migraine and high bp, putting me on more meds.
I now have same ear problems, blurred sight, constant swaying feeling, pulsatile tinnitus (with a beat all day and night), memory loss and dreadful cognitive problems.
I have a further apt with my gp to ask for more advice in a few weeks but am at my wits end. I can no longer think for myself, do anything I used to such as sewing as I can't understand what to do, am unable to chat in a group because of the constant beating and feel like my brain no longer controls my eyes or anything else. I can't go out alone or drive anymore. I spend a lot of time inside where I feel safe and cry all the time.
Could all this be related to the booster, an infection or do I have something serious?

I am not a doctor, but I am betting that all of these problems are caused by stress. The best thing at this point is to see a psychiatrist and take anti depressants. Therapy would also help, perhaps CBT, or whatever type the psychiatrist recommends. I do not think any of these symptoms are caused by the covid booster. The booster does cause some side effects, but they are different from what you have.
Difficult to say but since I’ve had Covid very recently which amongst other symptoms & a persistent cough, it also gave me brain fog, lack of concentration, words that I want to say but aren’t forthcoming, short term memory pathetic as in have forgotten what I was going to write down straight away and I’m wondering how long this is going to go on for. I feel fairly sure my symptoms are connected to Covid..
I totally agree, I too have had similar problems after I have gotten over the dreaded covid 19. (March 19-2021 through the 1st week of April when I cleared the covid) and my long covid started in June of 2021 I suggest that you Try omega 3 fish oil I’m taking 2400 msg a day to help with the cognitive impairments. And yes I am “no doctor” and I don’t even pretend to be a doctor while on the Internet.lol. lol. But I have had better success with the daily omega 3 fish oils than without the use of them. Long covid is real! & I’m currently seeing a neurologist about my long covid symptoms. Best of luck ( we’re going to need all we can get at this point to you and the original poster of this thread )
PS: there are some posts on HU about different Vaccinated side effects. If you go to the magnifying glass symbol at the top bar and click on that, you will be able to type into the long box something on the lines of Covid vaccinated side effects. And start your search.best of luck. IThink I put in Covid side effects.
My deepest sympathies go out to you! Long covid is real and I do think that your problems have at least in someways came from the vaccine & it’s boosters! I think it’s terrible that you have to wait 52 weeks for a simple appointment. But that discussion is for another time. I know you don’t need me chiming in about socialized medicine right now. So I can tell you this don’t give up . And if I can find the original article I will post it, but since I too am suffering from long covid I found this. They were talking about Benadryl was helping some people with the long covid symptoms. I went out and bought a package. Like you stated about crying (because it seems that’s all that’s left when it comes to figuring this B.S. out) I found it has helped a little, and that’s a start in my books. I will look for the article a.s.a.p. Good luck, you/we got this!
Many thanks for the understanding and advice. My gp has no sympathy whatsoever, just feels antidepressants will cure all. I will persevere a little longer than maybe go private again. Take care
