I recently saw the term "spiritual trauma". Before I look up a definition- does anyone here suffer from it? Have you any experience with it?
I think I might have some, but want to see what others say prior to making an assumption

I believe it’s when someone has used spirituality or religion to inflict trauma on someone else. Like a religious authority figure abusing someone or even someone using religion to threaten or scare someone into submission.
This is from thewarriorsjourney.org/chal... Spiritual trauma is the effect of trauma upon a person’s sense of meaning, concept of self, view of God, or understanding of the nature of evil and suffering.
I have not experienced this type of trauma. It sounds like some thing that is very difficult to deal with.
As a committed Christian I have a very deep and profound faith. I put my entire trust, faith, and hope in God through the love of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit - the Triune Majesty. I am on a journey toward God and salvation of my spirit. As I journey I learn more and understand more about God and my purpose here on earth. The more I understand, the closer I get to my goal, the more I am attacked - spiritual trauma - by Satan, the evil one. I know many people think I am loony but, this is my belief. Whenever I feel under this spiritual trauma I pray, and I always find comfort and a release of tension. My prayer for you, 'SurvivingEveryday is that you may find the best way forward, this may be prayer, meditation, relaxing on a warm sunny day, or accepting the love of God into your life. We are all unique and different - I hope you find what is right for yourself.
