I found that meditation really helped quiet my mind. It takes practice to sit and listen to guided meditations. But they are really helpful. You will learn breathing techniques that help Thru out the day. I've been meditating for years.

I use an App called insight timer

Hey there! I struggle with anxiety too and mine is generalized so it can often be random but I have also identified some of my triggers, such as a location that triggers sensory overload or traveling. What I have noticed that helped me was my anti depressant medication was a good first step after getting diagnosed. Then I downloaded a meditation app called Abide that really helped me as well. I recommend seeing a therapist too. I am currently trying to find a therapist that is more cost effective for me but I did realize the first time I went it really did help. Everybody is different and our anxiety and reactions are all different as well, so just keep that in mind! Definitely find things that tend to keep your mind at ease, mine is a nice bubble bath at the end of the day or a tv show that I can get lost in. I hope you find something that helps!! 😊

You should really start to practice acceptance. A great first place to start is reading “hope and help for your nerves” by Claire weekes. Face, accept, float, let time pass. You have over stimulated nerves that are causing anxiety symptoms. The symptoms are just symptoms like anything. If you poke and prod and try to get rid of them, they get worse. Try doing the opposite. Do nothing. Accept the thoughts and feelings and over time they lose there power. Practice yoga cause it’s good for you. It relaxes you. Don’t do it to get rid of your symptoms. And be patient. Recovery doesn’t happen over night. It takes time. Good luck.

Maybe try Amazon or Ebay if you haven't already. Sometimes second hand ones are available on the latter.

I do not know about medication, I don't take any. I believe it makes you worse. I don't do anything for my anxiety. I just sometimes lay there and let it pass over me. It was one time I was on the train and it just came over me I couldn't get off the train, because it was like a rush that came over my body and I couldn't help it. So I had to miss my spot. I was so anxious to get off but I couldn't felt like I was gonna die. So what I did was calm down Breathe in and out. I felt a little better I held onto one of the poles until the train left then I ran down the stairs. I learned since then to block it out and keep my composure. It never happened again. I would say to meditate, eat good, play games on your phone, think about all the good things life has to offer you. Your children, family ,friends, and find the one person to talk to. That's how I control and overcame it.

Another good book is the DARE Anxiety book by Barry McDonaugh he has based his on Dr. Weekes work, credits her and utilizes the same concept of embracing and accepting the anxious thoughts and feelings instead of resisting them. Both of them have youtube videos you can watch that are helpful.

I've found simple mindfulness very helpful in being able to let the thoughts flow in and out easier without attaching to them. It's also good for bringing myself back to the present moment and grounding myself.

I found that CBD helped with anxiety but is bad for glaucoma which I have so I don't use it.

You might also make sure your hormones, thyroid and adrenals are functioning properly if not they can contribute to or cause anxiety/depression. Also diet and supplements can make a difference, quit caffeine and alcohol. There is a good book on this called "the anti-anxiety food solution" by Trudy Scott, you can find it and the DARE book on amazon.
