Hi everyone my son has just been put on Olanzapine 5mg for OCD, Obsessive thinking, anxiety exhausting himself going around in circles all day he also obsesses on any medication he's taking.
The Olanzapine seems to be working to some degree but now he's having panic attacks and says that's new he's not stuffed with them before and he's now talking about coming off the olanzapine which has helped in lots of other ways, has anyone else had this happen?

Check this one out. Mind you I'm no Doc or pharmacist but this sounds harmless and effective for your son's issues. IMO
Fluvoxamine is also effective in children and adolescents with SAD and other anxiety disorders and was the first SSRI to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in children. In a randomized, double-blind study in 128 children and adolescents aged 6–17 years (> 70% aged ≤ 12 years) with SAD, separation anxiety disorder, or generalized anxiety disorder, fluvoxamine (up to 300 mg/day) was significantly more effective than placebo from week 3 onwards on the Pediatric Anxiety Rating Scale
Thank you Kaye77, sorry if I've made it sound like he's a child he's 30, He's got a problem taking medication and focuses on the negatives so I thought I would just see if anyone else had been on the Olanzapine and there experiences maybe to help guide him going forward.
