Dealing with Anxiety: Hello everyone I am... - Anxiety Support
Have you seen a doctor or are on any medication? Sometimes anxiety gets so bad that we need a little help.
No I have not seen a doctor I am going to talk with a therapist next month I woke up at 2:30 this morning tried to back to sleep an hour later I was up again I am going to try some exercises when I get home from work today thank you for replying amh6971
This is a reply I posted on a different topic. Hope it helps,
I dont know about your type of anxiety. But for years I had social anxiety, symptoms: fast heart rate and nausea in social situations. A little over a month ago, I went "cold turkey" with added sugar. And this did the trick. Apparently added sugar increases your blood sugar, and your body then releases insulin, and that leads to low blood sugar. When your blood sugar is low, the body produces adrenaline and cortisol. Hence why your body is always in a fight and flight mode. So give this a try. Dont only avoid sweets and desserts, avoid hidden added sugar in packaged foods and condiments too. I hope this works for you 🥰
P. S. As a muslim I pray 5 times a day. Even if you are not following a religion, try different type of meditation. It does wonders.
Thank you for replying I pray a lot not sure if my prayers are being answered I drink a lot of soda I will cut back on the sodas thank you for replying I need help and I feel good when people post back to me please any information or help is greatly appreciated say a prayer for me please and God bless you, my friend.
Try going cold turkey with all added sugar including Soda. Do that at least for a month and see how that helps. I will pray for you and everyone who struggles with anxiety. I had social anxiety since I was a teen. It was a relief for something so simple to get rid of it. It is amazing how diet affects mental health. All the best 🥰
Watch this video that dives in how bad added sugar is,
Be aware that going cold turkey off of sugar can give you terrible headaches, body aches and trouble sleeping, about day 4 or 5, those ease up a little and by day 10, usually you will feel better and start having energy and then also sleep at night. I'm a nutritionist. I only recommend going cold turkey for clients who are All or Nothing personality types. If you exercise, take it easy for the first several days, muscle cramps can be eased by magnesium, most say potassium, but magnesium spray works best. If you don't exercise, try a 30 minute walk daily and work up to an hour. Stretching is good too--helps with those pesky muscles that start demanding sugar. Lol.... and there's the old rubber band on your wrist--every time you think of sugar, snap yourself. If you think of giving up, snap..Meditation is also good.
Your body will protest you taking sugar away, but it will be worth it in the end.
