Hi, anyone else experience high cholesterol despite having a healthy weigh/diet? I’m 35 and so not smoke.
Currently feeling so anxious, my cholesterol is high 5.7 😢 the nurse further scared me by saying how this increases my risk of heart attack and stroke. I do experience chest heaviness and palpitations and I am worried it’s connected.
I have an appointment next week for a blood pressure test, however I’m really worrying now 😞 and then they’ll decide what to do.
Any advice/experience greatly appreciated.

There is no need to worry , it is good they are checking all these things out but nothing will happen to you here and now they mean long term if it was left
But even if you have a med fear I urge you that if they say you need meds for it then take them
I was foolish quite a few years ago and ignored their advice , now I have had 3 heart attacks and waiting for Bypass surgery and I so wished I had listened to them and taken the medication they said I should as I might not be where I am now , so just wait and see early days but if they suggest that do it if not then that is fine but above all trust that they know what will be best for you x
They may add a low dose statin. That. is what my doctor did. My cholesterol was 237 and after about 3 months it is now 171. My cardiologist did tell me to take 200 mgs. of COQ10 every day, as as statin depletes COQ10. Doing this may also help you avoid any muscle aches. Ask your doctor about this. I am in the US and protocols may be different here.
it's probably hereditary but check your BP at home because it might be high at the doctors since you're stressing so much. I had a coworker who was thin but had to take cholesterol medication. It was hereditary
