Hey guys, I was prescribed with some anti depressants called paroxetine during my drs visit, all while shaking and feeling uncontrollably anxious lol
I'm very suspect of SSRIs ever since the last time I had them and suffered severe withdrawals and side effects that really effected me.. the last brand I tried was something called escitalopram and I'm hoping there's some slight difference..
Do you have positive experiences with crippling anxiety being treated by these meds? Is it worth all the side effects?

started lexapro in nov 2020. had about 3 weeks of minor side affects. others encouraged me to fight through. i did and it's been a blessing to this day. still on 10mg's to this date and going to take a few months more and see how all is going and may start coming off, but we will see. good luck to you! get plenty of exercise!! that helped me A LOT!!
Paroxetine worked really well for me. I had been suffering from crippling anxiety for the best part of two years. I truly believed I was dying, it was the most horrendous time.
I ended up taking paroxetine for seven years. It gave me my life back within days. I had no side effects and it didn’t take weeks to work.
When I felt ready, I weaned myself off over a three month period, I was carving the tablets up into tiny pieces for weeks, no adverse effects though so slow snd steady definitely worked for me.
Thank you although I don't seem to share everyone's lack of side effects they are quite strong for me much like I remember from the first time I tried anti depressants.. will have to keep searching I guess.. again thankyou for sharing
I lowered the dose to 10mg a day which worked well for me. Maybe you could try that before you discontinue them? Good luck anyway. I hope you find something soon that works for you 😊
