Hello, I'm new here, but I'm truly at loss and maybe any of you with more experience can help me.
I've been living with my partner's family for 5 months now as lockdown fell in and things were messy. Living with them has been a bit difficult for me, because I have high noise sensitivity and other perceptive issues (suspected aspie), I'm prone to having depressive episodes and I'm constantly tiptoeing because I feel like a burden. They are absolutely lovely people who try not to make me feel bad, but I don't think they simply understand.
They plan to go to their holiday house next week and obviously would want me to come with. There's a series of issues with it:
- 12 hours car journey which is probably going to be very loud, people are tiresome, and their yappy dog will sit next to me
- the house has no private rooms and large open spaces can make me worry
- they plan on meeting people, this means new people for me
I convinced them that I'm fine sleeping in a tent outside the house, so I hope the second point is somewhat fixed. But I'm very worried and scared about this trip and I've been experiencing worse anxiety than usual due to this. Does anybody have any piece of advice?
Thank you in advance
