My Daughter is really struggling with anxiety about lack of sleep. The more anxious she gets about not sleeping the less she can sleep. Her GP has given her some sleeping tablets that she can take but not every night - they give her a bit of sleep every few nights but they’re not taking the anxiety away. Anyone else have experience of this and any positive help?

Sleep anxiety help
I'm having a bout of nightmares and anxiety. Having a time of it but I listen to sleep meditation. I put my earbuds in and lay back and the sessions are 8-10 hours long and I have been having this issue for the last week this time and I slept peacefully and woke up refreshed for the first time last night. I have been listening every night since Wednesday. Even had a hot flash last night in the middle of the night and it really didn't bother me. You Tube put in meditation for sleep to relax the anxiety. There will be plenty of them to choose from. I hope this helps and sometimes it takes a few nights before you feel relief. I love natural things then prescriptions. Sleep deprivation is awful and I have been there and come back so will your daughter. Good luck and gentle 🤗🤗
When my mind starts to work overtime at night when I'm trying to sleep I have developed this method of turning my mind off. I find one thing that gives me joy or peace and I start thinking about it. I keep thinking about it until I fall asleep. Usually I think about planting a beautiful garden .I have planned this garden 100 times already. l have never actually planted it but it doesn't matter. It relaxes enough to fall asleep.
