Don't be afraid Shaymocha, the heart beat is always changing. It takes being on the finger
for a while to get an appropriate reading. They are accurate if the batteries are fresh.
If you are well enough to place the tool on your finger and get a good oxygen reading than
there is likely no problem except for anxiety creeping in while you do this.
Because of the age we live in, everyone has a b/p machine and an oximeter whereas years ago those readings were done only in a doctor's office or hospital. xx
same happened with me with b/p readings. managed my b/p to where i was off meds, but went under several stressful situations at once.{move out of state, last remaining kids left for college, widowed and spending a lot of money getting house on market. well, sat down one evening to check b/p, expecting to see the normal 115/68 ish, well, no! got 200/180!! flipped out, checked again and of course went to 220/180! after ER visit, test and re-test, they said nothing is physically wrong with you to cause this!! hello again anxiety. DR said he thought 10 mgs lexapro would help. well, it did! after 4 months on it i'm back to "normal". several times wanted to stop because of minor side effects but after seeing a lot of post to stick it out, i did and so thankful i listened, b/c with the meds and working out/music, i feel the best i really have for a LONG time!! i think your situation me be similar, buts it's your heart rate. good luck. hope this helps!!!
