No energy

I cannot seem to muster up the energy to do household chores or exercise. I dread getting out of bed and showering. My weight has piled on making it more difficult to move.

Hello :-)I just had a quick look at your profile and it seems that you are suffering maybe with depression or anxiety but you have not said much about why you maybe are feeling this way , how long you have been feeling this way , the more you can say we can relate to you and maybe try and help :-)

I totally get piling the weight on and I am 6 years older than you and you are right and I wished I had done something sooner as I had a heart attack 9 weeks ago and even though we cannot say it was weight or lack of exercise and I am no Doctor but I suppose it will not have helped me so you know now you need to do something and I am so glad you have :-)

It is good your husband is your best friend and I read you would love to be a Dog Walker which would be good for your mind and health :-)

I know at the moment with covid this might not be the right time but once this is over is there anything standing in your way of doing what would make you happy ?

Keep coming and talking to us , we don't always have all the answers but we do understand and you will know you are not alone which does help as much as your Husband is your best friend unless you are suffering no one understands like we do just exactly how it feels and it can help knowing people relate to how you feel :-)

Take Care x

Hi, thanks for reaching out to me. I was diagnosed with depression at age 17 after my first overdose. I managed to stop taking medication for about 10 years but age 30 had another breakdown. On medication since and finally diagnosed with Bipolar 2 last year which makes a lot of sense. I am currently taking quite a lot of meds for my mental health and they cause weight gain so I will struggle to lose all the weight I want to. I haven’t started dieting or exercising yet but I know I need to start.

I enjoy my current job the majority of the time. The work itself is monotonous but the people I work with are lovely which really helps.

Sorry to hear you had a heart attack recently, I hope you are recovering well?

Coronavirus is such a pain. It certainly doesn’t help with feeling low and lonely.

Thanks again for your message. Really appreciated 😊

Hello :-)Sorry you have been suffering like you have and sometimes one of the downfalls is some medication can put you weight on

You could talk with your Doctor and let them know how this is affecting you the weight gain and maybe there is a different medication that will do the same but not put you weight on as there are different kinds :-)

We are here if you need to talk :-) x
