One of my favorite quotes states, "There's no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people be inspired by how you deal with your imperfections." I have been thinking about this idea a lot lately.
None of us are perfect, and we all have trials that we are going though. In this time especially, it can be so hard to find strength to stay positive and be happy, much less inspire people to do the same. It can be daunting, too. So often we are fed the lie that in order to make a difference, we have to fit the mold of "perfect" and not have the struggles we face. In reality, though, nobody fits this mold. We are all striving for the impossible. Our imperfections and our "breaks," give us character. They make us real. I think that in order to inspire others, we need to struggle. In order to inspire others, we have to be relatable. Because, in truth, there is beauty to being broken.
So, next time you feel alone and hurt and broken, remember that you are being built into something beautiful. It may not feel like it in the moment, but because of what we go through in life, we can help others. We can inspire others. We can make a difference.
