Hi, I’ve been having stomach issues for the past few months. I can’t go anywhere without taking Imodium first, because my anxiety makes me feel like I need to be close to a bathroom at all times. I’m starting a new job soon and I’m really nervous about how I’m going to deal with my stomach issues at work. I went to a GI doctor recently and got tests done and my results came back normal and they told me it’s most likely IBS and anxiety. I had a couple drinks last night (I usually do on weekends) and I threw up afterwards. My stomach couldn’t handle it. Then I had the runs all day today, and it was all red. I drank red Pedialyte this morning, would that possibly cause it??? I hope I’m not bleeding internally. If it continues I’ll go to the emergency room but I really don’t want to :( I’m so worried and I hope it was just red from the Pedialyte.... this has never happened to me before. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

Thank you :) it’s not happening anymore so it must’ve been from the pedialyte and I also drank Pepto Bismol. Still having stomach pain though. I was just really startled because that’s never happened to me before.

I’m glad everything came back normal. Anxiety is horrible :(

You might try Probiotics. I was given some in the hospital a few years ago because I was on antibiotics. I was literally stunned how well they worked. I’ve been taking probiotics ever since. Sometimes you have to try different ones to determine which work for you. I pretty much have settled on using the Dr Tobias Deep Immune probiotics. I order from Amazon. It has 4.4 billion CFU’s probiotic with prebiotics. There are tons of different kinds out there, but whatever you try, I would recommend starting out with a lower amount of CFU’s. Some have 50 or 100 billion! That’s way too much in my opinion but some people use that much I suppose.

I had the same thing and was finally referred to a gastroenterologist. He tested me and found nothing wrong, so the diagnosis is stress-related IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) of the diarrhea-predominant type. For the associated pain, I'm taking a very low dosage of amitriptyline every day. I still have episodes, but not as often as before. I was probably more stressed out when I thought something was horribly wrong in my digestive system!
