Hi, I’ve been having stomach issues for the past few months. I can’t go anywhere without taking Imodium first, because my anxiety makes me feel like I need to be close to a bathroom at all times. I’m starting a new job soon and I’m really nervous about how I’m going to deal with my stomach issues at work. I went to a GI doctor recently and got tests done and my results came back normal and they told me it’s most likely IBS and anxiety. I had a couple drinks last night (I usually do on weekends) and I threw up afterwards. My stomach couldn’t handle it. Then I had the runs all day today, and it was all red. I drank red Pedialyte this morning, would that possibly cause it??? I hope I’m not bleeding internally. If it continues I’ll go to the emergency room but I really don’t want to I’m so worried and I hope it was just red from the Pedialyte.... this has never happened to me before. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

Thank you it’s not happening anymore so it must’ve been from the pedialyte and I also drank Pepto Bismol. Still having stomach pain though. I was just really startled because that’s never happened to me before.
I’m glad everything came back normal. Anxiety is horrible
Just a word of warning...beetroot can do that too..I learned that after a similar anxiety attack!!!
You might try Probiotics. I was given some in the hospital a few years ago because I was on antibiotics. I was literally stunned how well they worked. I’ve been taking probiotics ever since. Sometimes you have to try different ones to determine which work for you. I pretty much have settled on using the Dr Tobias Deep Immune probiotics. I order from Amazon. It has 4.4 billion CFU’s probiotic with prebiotics. There are tons of different kinds out there, but whatever you try, I would recommend starting out with a lower amount of CFU’s. Some have 50 or 100 billion! That’s way too much in my opinion but some people use that much I suppose.
I had the same thing and was finally referred to a gastroenterologist. He tested me and found nothing wrong, so the diagnosis is stress-related IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) of the diarrhea-predominant type. For the associated pain, I'm taking a very low dosage of amitriptyline every day. I still have episodes, but not as often as before. I was probably more stressed out when I thought something was horribly wrong in my digestive system!
