Just Started Zoloft

Hi! I just started Zoloft the other day (25mg for the first 4 days) and my side effects have sucked. I’ve had bad headaches, dry weird taste in my mouth that makes eating and drinking taste weird, dizzy, don’t really have an appetite, and just feel so overall lethargic and tired. On my 5th day I’m supposed to start taking the full dose of 50mg.

Was wondering how long these bad symptoms usually last? I’m trying to push through but I’m only on my 3rd day. Ugh. Any tips for dealing with this would be much appreciated!

Zoloft can be a miracle medication for many or a nightmare for others. Talk with your doctor and see if you can switch to something you may tolerate better!

Hi!! I’m on day 6 now and feeling much better! Day 3 was just hell so hopefully the symptoms don’t get any worse again!

Oh good, I'm so happy to hear that!! Sometimes it takes a few days for our bodies to get use to a new medication!! Let us know how well it's working in the long run!!

I started Zoloft a week ago. Then just started upping to 50mg now. I do not like the way I feel on the 50. Have you felt a difference

Ugh I am a LOT more tired now. I’ve been on 50mg for the past 4 days and I’m a lot more irritable and so so tired it’s hard for me to focus . I’m going to email my dr about going back down to 25mg. How do you feel??

I switched the 50 to night and it seems a bit better. I’m trying to give it at least a week
