Does anybody notice when they’re on their period that their anxiety symptoms are way worse than usual? Or am I looking for an excuse as to why my anxiety has been worse lately..
Menstrual Cycle: Does anybody notice when... - Anxiety Support
Menstrual Cycle
100 percent it is worse x
I thought I was being paranoid.. I wonder why.
fluctuating hormones ...
It’s definitely not an excuse.
Periods can and do affect how you are feeling - I tend to find I am most tearful and anxious just before a period and then once it starts, I feel a bit better. Hormones affect different people in different ways and there’s a range of ‘normal’.
I was just thinking- I was doing so good. And the past few days since my period has started my anxiety and symptoms have been through the roof. 🤦🏻♀️
Hopefully once your period is over, you will start to feel more balanced. Periods suck for so many reasons!
Oh no lol. I am either really anxious or really depressed. Got to love hormones.
Right 🤦🏻♀️ when my anxiety leaves and I’m finally calm and “normal” I am left with depression.
I remember those days lol ... definitely worse and heightened by fluctuating hormones. x
🤦🏻♀️
I wonder if this is what’s happening to me mines came on yesterday and I have had a panick attack twice for no reason and can’t stop obsessing over my heart every night again feel like I can’t breathe worried Bout Covid
Me too. But I got a rapid test for COVID-19 and it came back negative so now I keep my mask in the car so I don’t forget it and my germ gel goes on my car key lanyard! You should get one also. The results come back in twenty minutes.
Mine is always worse during my period. That's almost the only time I ever have to take Xanax for "breakthrough" anxiety
My anxiety always seems to be a lot worse before my period starts and during it. Chest tightness and heart palpitations. I googled it recently and it’s common. Gotta love hormones and when you already have anxiety it’s horrible.
I googled it after some commented on my post. Crazy stuff
Yes I was 20 days late and now on day 16 of having mine
Hormones gone wild
perimenapause such a treat
Anxiety def plays a part and not fun at all
Your def not alone
I’m on day 8.. and before pregnancy mine were only 3-4 days long. I never knew they could last this long. 🤦🏻♀️
Anon99, try not to worry too much about that. The first several periods after you give birth, your body is trying to readjust to everything and balance the hormones. My first few after I had my son were horrific, heavy and lasted nearly 12 days. They were kind of weird for about 6 months, but one good thing happened. Before pregnancy, I had awful, debilitating menstrual cramps, but since giving birth 12 years ago, I barely even have any at all.
