I only get panic attacks in public never at home. I get anxious around too many people and large spaces. I’m not socially awkward, people don’t make me nervous at all. It’s just something about being in public that makes my mind go crazy. Before this whole anxiety thing started I loved to be around lots of people and I loved being in crowds because they excited me. I loved to be everywhere. I’m just hoping I can get back to my old self. I’m 17 and this all started around the age of 15 out of nowhere!! I never was an anxious person.
Symptoms in public
- palms get sweaty
- heart starts racing
- starts feeling REALLY lightheaded
- legs start getting weak
- can’t talk because I’m to overwhelmed
- breathing shallow
I don’t get panic attacks in public all the time but if I stay in a store or wait in a line for to long then the symptoms come. Personally my anxiety gets better when I’m active but I’m always “stuck in my head”. If that makes sense. I’m trying really hard to get out as much as I can.
